Task Bar Hero Nightmare 3-6 to 3-9 F2P guide

If Nightmare 3-6 to 3-9 keeps killing the full party, buying expensive gear is not the only answer. A low-cost community route lets Ranger handle the safe opening, then deploys Priest and Sorcerer only when their support is needed.

This is a progression method, not a claim that Ranger must always play alone. It works best around level 50 when the account has usable Ranger damage but the frontline cannot survive every wave.

Before You Start

  • Ranger: Rapid Fire plus a useful second damage skill; enough physical damage to remove normal enemies.
  • Weapon material: Minor Amethyst is a practical early physical-damage option.
  • Armor: move the best relevant defensive pieces to Ranger if Priest cannot hold the stage anyway.
  • Accessories: use HP to avoid one-shots and Life Leech to recover between hits.
  • Priest: Sanctuary + Heal for the late defensive deployment.
  • Sorcerer: Ice Orb + Blizzard for control and finishing pressure.

Do not consume your only useful resistance or physical-damage item through Synthesis just to clear inventory. Lock it until the wall is solved.

The Delayed-Deploy Method

  1. Start with Ranger and watch whether normal enemies die before their dangerous attack.
  2. Keep Priest and Sorcerer undeployed while Ranger remains stable.
  3. When the bar reaches roughly 50%–80%, or immediately before the difficult final group, deploy support.
  4. Priest absorbs pressure while Sorcerer slows or damages the remaining enemies.
  5. If the stage still fails, change the deployment timing before buying another full equipment set.

The exact percentage is not fixed. Deploy earlier when Ranger is taking unavoidable damage; deploy later when the extra formation slows a clean opening.

Stage-by-Stage Plan

StagePractical check
Nightmare 3-6Let Ranger handle most of the stage; bring Priest for the end if the boss pressure is the problem.
Nightmare 3-7Repeat the same test and only move deployment earlier if Ranger loses HP before the final group.
Nightmare 3-8Watch the ice enemy. If one hit kills Ranger, add HP/resistance before chasing more speed.
Nightmare 3-9Expect to need the whole team near the final 20%; deploy around 80% as a first test.

Diagnose the Failure

  • Ranger dies immediately: add HP, resistance, or damage sufficient to take the first action.
  • Ranger survives but the timer is poor: raise physical damage or attack speed before adding more defense.
  • Priest wastes Sanctuary early: deploy later so the cooldown is available for the dangerous group.
  • Sorcerer dies before casting: change deployment timing or add a small survival layer.
  • The full party makes the stage worse: return to Ranger-first instead of upgrading every hero equally.

Once 3-9 is repeatable, compare its clear time with an earlier stable farm. Then use the Level 1-100 Progression Guide to rebuild the full team and the Solo Ranger Guide for later Hell and Torment walls.
