Task Bar Hero 2026 Roadmap: Plaguelands, Dungeons, Relics, and Season 1

The official July 10 development roadmap is the first clear look at Task Bar Hero's next gameplay expansion. It names new endgame areas, progression systems, skills, and seasonal content—but these features are plans, not live content in v1.01.02 or the later unversioned July 30 recovery hotfix.

Check the official Steam community page for the current client and announcement status before treating any roadmap item as released.

Quick Status

The newest numbered client checked for this guide is v1.01.02, followed by an unversioned July 30 recovery hotfix for restored items, chests, Stage 3-10, and Slayer Axe Spin. None of these updates added the roadmap areas, systems, or a new class.

Q3 2026: New Endgame Route

Plaguelands is the headline endgame area for players who have already pushed through Torment. The roadmap also names four dungeons:

• Dragon's Lair
• Dwarven Mine
• Golden Gnome Village
• Forest of Spirits

Their names and inclusion are confirmed. Exact enemy elements, drop tables, entry costs, recommended resistance values, and best builds have not been published, so guides should not invent counters before the content is playable.

Q3 Systems That Can Change Builds

The roadmap lists character runes, a relic system, additional skills, a defense rework, level 90 equipment and accessories, and better Act Boss rewards. These are more important for build planning than another small hotfix because they can change which heroes and stats are valuable.

Relics are described as a new equipment layer with special effects. One roadmap example involves absorbing part of damage dealt to allies, but that example should not be treated as a complete relic list or final balance value.

Q4 2026: Season 1

Season 1 is titled Chaos Unleashed. The roadmap names new stages, a higher level cap, Rift of Chaos content, Chaos Cube recipes, Chaos Soulstone, and a Codex system.

The official roadmap does not yet explain season reset rules, Rift encounter structure, Codex rewards, recipe costs, or whether Chaos Soulstone is permanent. Avoid spending or deleting current materials based on guesses about those systems.

What Players Should Do Before Q3

1. Keep more than one hero usable. The defense rework and skill changes may weaken the current one-build meta.
2. Save flexible materials instead of overcommitting everything to a single speculative dungeon counter.
3. Finish Rune Tree and Cube fundamentals that help multiple builds.
4. Keep farming Act Bosses when efficient, but do not claim future reward rates are active early.
5. Close the game normally and keep the client current while save-stability work continues.

Current Meta Warning

Solo Ranger is a strong community route for many Hell and Torment normal stages because Ranger can preserve movement tempo and attack before dangerous waves. It is not an official permanent best build. The roadmap specifically acknowledges dominant character metas and underused stats, so the defense and skill rework may change current rankings.

Use the current Ranger Solo Build for live stages, then re-check it when the Q3 balance patch actually ships.

What Is Not Confirmed Yet

• Exact Q3 release date
• Dungeon drop tables and enemy weaknesses
• Relic rarity, slot rules, and final effects
• New skill numbers
• Defense formula changes
• Season reset or carry-over rules
• New class identity or release date; the roadmap places a new class in the 2027 direction, not the live Q3 update
