Task Bar Hero beginner route

The best beginner route is simple: build a stable party, push until the run stalls, farm a safe stage, upgrade, then push again. Avoid expensive item decisions until you understand the Cube and market-facing loot.

Current patch note: v1.00.22 added Reward Mailbox compensation and lowered the Cube Offering recipe requirement to level 10, while v1.00.24 slightly reduced Common and Stage Treasure Chest minimum cooldowns. New players should check rewards, learn Offering carefully, then use stable chest farming instead of rushing the highest stage.

First-Hour Checklist

StepGoalWhat to Watch
1Pick a stable first corePriest, Knight, or Ranger are easier to read than risky burst plans.
2Push early stagesStop when clears become slow or deaths become common.
3Unlock Rune Tree valueWork toward extra party slots and nearby cheap nodes.
4Check Reward Mailboxv1.00.22 compensation coins belong in Reward, not code redemption.
5Learn Cube basicsOffering can appear earlier after v1.00.22, but save obvious upgrades.
6Prepare for Act bossesKeep Soulstones and upgrade before forcing attempts.

Choose Stability First

Beginners usually lose more progress to unstable teams than low peak damage. A team that clears safely for one hour is better than a faster team that fails every few runs.

Use Safe Farming Stops

Do not always farm the highest stage. Farm where clears are fast, safe, and connected to your next upgrade. If a stage takes too long, the theoretical reward may not matter.

After v1.00.24, chest timing may feel better on repeatable routes. Test a safe stage for several loops before moving up only because a higher stage is unlocked.

Learn the Cube Slowly

Alchemy, Synthesis, Crafting, Decoration, Engraving, and Inscription all change item value. Do not burn high-rarity gear just to clean inventory.

Offering becoming available earlier does not change the beginner rule: keep role gear first, then consume spare items only after you know the party no longer needs them.

Keep a Reserve

Keep a reserve of Soulstones and useful materials before selling or consuming them. Early mistakes feel small, but they can slow the next boss or item plan.

When You Get Stuck

Read the failure. Fast deaths mean survival. Slow clears mean damage or AoE. A boss wall means focused damage plus sustain. Change only the layer that is actually failing.
